Boeing 717 [r]: Not a true Boeing design, but a limited Boeing manufacturing designation resulting from several mergers: Douglas with McDonnell first producing the Douglas DC-9 and launched as the McDonnell Douglas MD-95, and the Boeing 717 after McDonnell Douglas and Boeing merged in 1997.
