This addendum is a continuation of the article Pali Canon.

This addendum will give a detailed account of the Pali Canon.

The usual arrangement of the Canon is as follows:

  1. Vinayapiṭaka
  2. Sutta- or Suttantapiṭaka
    1. Dīghanikāya
    2. Majjhimanikāya
    3. Saṃyuttanikāya
    4. Aṅguttaranikāya
    5. Khuddakanikāya
  3. Abhidhammapiṭaka
