Titans [r]: From Greek mythology, they were the children of the Greek gods Ouranos and Gaia and included Cronos, Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Crius, Iapetus, Mnemosyne, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea, and Themis. The next generation included Eos, Helios (the sun god), Selene as well as Leto and Asteria, Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, Menoetius, Astraeus, Pallas, Perses. But this generation was overthrown by a successive generation of gods known as the Olympians led by Zeus.
