Old contents

Here's the contents of an older version of this page. --Larry Sanger 14:34, 25 January 2007 (CST)

A Citizens' Compendium can get off the ground only if there are many "citizens" at work on it--working not only on articles, but also on other essential tasks. This page is a summary of outstanding tasks you can help with, and has links to more information.

Folks, can you please help fill this out? This is just a start. A lot of the items below don't need to be on this list. The focus of this list should be a list of projects that people can help with. Recruitment, design, software, policy drafting and discussion--that's a start. --Larry Sanger 13:53, 28 November 2006 (CST)

TECHNOLOGY

  • Hardware - We badly need donations of money and hardware. We need a serious database server, which is not cheap. We're looking for SCSI drives and some sort of RAID solution (5 or 10).
  • Software - Please sign up at the development site and join the "Citizendium Tools mailing list". Bugs can also go to this address (but not to both places)
  • Website and Design

CONTENT

  • Policy Documents - We need to flesh out the policy pages listed here. Most of them don't exist yet. Try to incorporate information from that page, and the main Citizendium site as well as forum/list discussion. If you create a page, let everyone know on the forum so they can help.
  • Help Documents - we need to port help pages from Wikipedia and Wikimedia and adjust them to Citizendium Policies
