In October 2007 I will begin undergratuate studies at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. My studies will concentrate on Mathematics (major) and Physics (minor), however I am interested in a vast variety of subjects including Arts, Philosophy, Literature, Music, Ancient History and (obviously) Sciences. This broad horizon of interests may be due to my High School education, which I received at the humanist Karls-Gymnasium Stuttgart (Germany). In Germany, humanist Gymnasiums usually offer Latin as a first foreign language, later some modern language (in my case English) and finally the possibility to do Classical Greek as a third foreign language. Additionally I did study some French in a non-compulsory workgroup/club. During my last three years at High School I attended several (science-centered) courses for talented students, such as the "Kepler-Seminar für Naturwissenschaften", the "JGW Schülerakademie", the "TU-München Mathematik Stipendium" and classes for mathematical-talented pupils at the University of Ulm, in my spare time. After graduating from High School in Summer 2006, I did nine months of military service at the German 30th armored infantry brigade (PzGrenBrig 30), followed by a one-month practicum with a local politician, vacation jobs and four weeks of International Summer School at Cambridge University, UK.
