Purcellville, Virginia is a town located in Loudoun County in Northern Virginia, approximately 40 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.. It is 10 miles west of Leesburg, Virginia on Virginia Route 7.

"The Village at Purcell Store" was settled in 1764, and in 1852 it was renamed Purcellville. The town was incorperated by the Virginia General Assembly in 1908. A small town with a friendly atmosphere, the influence of Victorian architecture is visible in the older buildings that make up much of the down-town area.
