The Richard III Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit educational organization that was founded to promote research and scholarship into the life and times of King Richard III, his contemporaries and his era, and to attempt to cast a  new light on the misconceptions of his life and reign.

Continued research has shown that the Yorkist period was one of progress and enlightened government.  It is our sense of injustice to Richard III’s reputation that enforces our belief that the truth is worth fighting for and why we have established this Foundation.

Our aims and objectives are to:

To cultivate the life and times of the medieval period, with emphasis on King Richard III, his contemporaries and era.

To secure the advancement of education of the medieval period.

To enhance and promote scholastic studies of the life and times of King Richard III.

The Foundation is active in many diverse areas.  Our categories encompass the fields of research, scholarship, publishing, exhibitions, public relations, study days, symposiums and other activities to attempt to bridge the gap between the Fifteenth Century and today.

Our patrons are worldwide, from all walks of life, who join us to learn more about this specific period of history that continues to fascinate and are encouraged to participate in whatever way they can.

We invite you to explore our website in our efforts to bridge the gap between how Richard III was perceived then and now.
