I'm hoping to write an article on a sports personality. He is a relatively minor subject for an article, but he did play in the NBA for a couple of years. The main reason for my desire to write the article is that he is a relative of mine. Is a couple years in the NBA with one lasting record enough to make a Citizendium article? Martial Arts
One thing I do not like at Wikipedia is that there isn't an origin/family tree way of looking at styles. Any Japanese style of Karate that is a derivative of an Okinawan style should be listed as such, including how this new creator changed/modified the style, and if possible to obtain, why he did so. -Tom Kelly (Talk) 01:46, 20 April 2007 (CDT)

Martial arts in the sports category?
Should martial arts even be in the sports category/workgroup? I'm not quite sure how these things work, but not only some martial arts consider themselves sports. Andrew Chong 14:44, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
- That seems like an obvious place to me, for at least some of them. Where would you put the others? With Yoga? Exercises? Warlike techniques? Martial arts? Seems like a big can of worms to me. Hayford Peirce 15:20, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
