Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

You can find some more information about our collaboration groups if you follow this link Citizendium_Pilot:Discipline_Workgroups.You can always ask me on my talk page or others about how to proceed or any other question you might have.

New start

Glad that you decided to hop aboard. I've been beavering away at a couple of articles off on the fringes while I get used to the system here. Perhaps it's time to tackle something bigger... --Peter J. King 13:59, 12 February 2007 (CST)

Good grief, I hadn't realised that. The category of philosophy editors seemed fullish (including some names that I recognised from Wikipedia), but I didn't investigate further. I'll do my best to drum up support too. --Peter J. King 17:02, 14 February 2007 (CST)

Hi

Hello - good to see you, too. I've also ducked out of WP - It was trying to help out at the reference desk that did it for me in the end. I'm probably not going to be able to spend much time here in the next month or so (lectures to write), but I'll be checking in occasionally, and hopefully adding some ethics/political philosophy stuff. Cheers, Sam Clark 04:27, 13 February 2007 (CST)

A welcome

Hello. Sadly, you left a message to me under unfortunate circumstances. The biography you read on my page actually belongs to Mr. Robert Tito; an immature troll thought it would be amusing to screw around with user pages. I, personally, have only been using the site for a week or two, so I don't exactly know of lay of the land. Ah, the joys of wiki growing pains. Don't let that fact discourage your involvement with this site. Things are fairly new and are still being tweaked.--Jeffrey A. Morton 05:49, 13 February 2007 (CST)

Hi Edward, As Jeffrey mentions above, we are certainly having some growing pains. :) I think we're working hard towards figuring out the best ways to leave the doors open as wide as possible while containing those intent on bringing about massive amounts of misery for the well intentioned. Since we're not quite "public" we're still hashing out policy - your voice is absolutely welcome :) Check out the forums and other places we're trying to figure out exactly the best sorts of ways to enforce and encourage. -- Sarah Tuttle 06:57, 13 February 2007 (CST)

Philosophy

I've made a start on the opening of the article. Fancy joining in?

I had a look at the lists, and found that I'm the only Philosophy Editor who's active (or, indeed, who has done anything yet). I haven't checked the authors, but from what you said I imagine that the situation isn't much better. We need to get more good people to join in. --Peter J. King  Talk  16:59, 26 February 2007 (CST)

Incunabulum

Nice to see you back. Your edit to God (I should have spotted that) prompted me to start an article on Incunabulum; I suspect that you can take it a lot further than I could. See what you think. --Peter J. King  Talk  11:36, 21 March 2007 (CDT)

Lost your e-mail address

I've lost your e-mail address, and you don't have one set up. Could you drop me an e-mail (empty if you like) so that I can reply (you might also have a look at the top of my Talk page)? --Peter J. King  Talk  13:55, 15 April 2007 (CDT)
